Hi All, well its time to update so there ya go. have flipped the deck over and have almost ready to glass together. And have picked up that cute little 69 Holsclaw trailer have some of it blasted, primed and painted. Will be starting on splashwell modification this week. I kinda jump around on the whole project depending the weather, temp, and mostly money and supplies. Its not perfect but not too bad and is most likely the strongest floor and bottom of any G-3 Also probable the heaviest...Oopp's O-well i'ts been fun! Badger ...Out

Hey Badger,
It’s looking good! You can’t go wrong beefing up the floor, as it really holds the the whole hull true. I remember once I cut out Bandit’s rotted floor, the hull was wobbly as Jello. So great decision to go with beef!
Where are you located? Its going to start getting cold in that garage. My garage looks just like yours with no ceiling/insulation. I spent a lot of time working on Bandit under 35 degrees. But it just means doing tents and heaters with the glassing and setting of fairing compound. Great job! Keep the photos coming.
The only thing that concerns me... is I don’t see a MERCURY on that outboard stand ...heh.

Thanks Bandit, I've been loosely trying to follow 2nd Chances restoration, except I saw the photo where he had mocked up the stringers with spar-type cross pieces Not realizing he later removed them. I on the other hand notched and inset and glassed the whole substructure and the center cross spar that connects the deck and hull is a 2"x 6" instead of the 1"x 4" like the rest of the spars. This Equals a lot of extra weight not to mention the 3 layers of glass prior to installing the "X-wing" fighter type sub-floor. That's why I think it's pretty sturdy? Did not mean to sound "Brag a tory" more like thats why she's so heavy! I have experienced all of the cold weather issues last winter but she will Get finished by spring!! As far as The outboard stand..It's fun to watch the Friendly Banter between you and G-Nut. but it's a What I got! just plain want/need to get her finished! And if You go Razor Clam digging this winter give a holler as I'm in Westport,Wa. And Thanks for the interest in this Rookies project, Boyd
