I have a 1965 G3 and want to restore it this winter. I am looking for the G3 decal and also the Glasspar emblem that mounts to the boat. Does anyone know where I can get these? Thanks a lot.

Hi Crackymartin
Welcome to the forum!
I am not aware of any decals on the 1965? Only the emblem above the front end of the sponson. But I'm not an open deck expert. I've heard those emblems are hard to find... but if you can get a loaner, these are plastic and could be cast into a plaster mold.

Thanks, Bandit. I guess it is the G3 Owners emblem or decal I am looking for. I see it mounted on the side of other G3s and I think it would look great on mine. It is the logo of G3 within a compass.

It is the logo of G3 within a compass. this may be the first time, but for once gotta agree with Dean! The "compass" (ha!) or, "starburst" emblem was used on the center deck models, and the open decks used a plastic GLASSPAR emblem with a little 3 in it. The 59 center decks, like Deans have a GLASSPAR decal on the sponson, but the 60/61s have a metal GLASSPAR on the center deck support, and no decal. does this help?

Yes it does. Thanks. Is there any way to get some of these? I would like the metal Glasspar and the G3 one too...if there is any way to purchase them.

I would like the metal Glasspar and the G3 one too...if there is any way to purchase them. well, we all know that ebay is our friend here, and they DO pop up from time to time for sale/bidding, but I have another option for you if you don't want to wait. Many years ago, a friend sent me a couple cast resin starburst (compass? HA! sorry, that just cracks me up) emblems that he made from his original. They could be painted to match the original metal ones, and used as is, or better yet, Dean could have a metal set made using these as molds. Just offering ya some options-let me know. I apologize for the toilet paper background....... NUT
