Dean, I do not know if I am getting posted on this site. I replied to your question about projects. My first G3 is done and ready to go. I have a second hull ready to be restored right near you in Kingston. I do not think I will do this one as the first one turned out just the way i wanted it to work. Ed in Kingston

Hey Ed in Kingston,
I've been a lacky for quite a while... been busy with non-boat projects that have eaten up all my time for the last two years. Built a nice cabin on Wildcat Lake and last fall installed a 96' pier with the largest float that Kitsap County would let me put in. Now I know what you're thinking... Wildcat Lake has a 7 mph speed limit, true... not good for flying G3's on. That's why I go and harass the home owners down the road at Kitsap Lake.
Since I've finished my cabin/dock project... got back into my propeller-based projects. Finished my '72 Rayson-Craft resto-mod this winter, have it up at Sea Marine in Port Townsend getting a sunbrella cockpit cover and motor cover made. NEXT, Bandit gets pulled out of my man-cave to finish the installation of my Merc 1150, known as NUT BUSTER.
I am in Kingston about every other week, and need to get down there to visit your local machine shop. We should plan a meeting, I would love to see your finished boat and see what you've got planned for the new hull. Let me know.
Dean

Dean, Sorry about not getting back to you sooner. I had my eyes fixed and that has taken up the last month. I put the G-3 in the water yesterday and took it out for a run, Apple Tree Point to Presidents point. Had the new 50 Tahatsu 2 cycle up to 5500 RPM. What a nice ride. I built this boat to be strong, it weighs in about 600 plus pounds for the hull alone. Probably another 300 for the outboard and other stuff. It is in the water on B dock in Kingston. I will be taking it to Lake Union in about a week, so lets meet up. I could use your advice on my other G-3 hull, maybe go very light with new high HP with lots of floatation. Ed in Kingston

BTW....GSG Shasta meet Fathers Day weekend!!! Bring Frankenmerc, his toolboxes, and a truckload of spare parts, and hopefully no one will get any pictures of Bandit being towed in by a MIGHTY JOHNSON V4!!!! NUT
