Hey all, thought I would post a more general boat question on here. I'm looking at competing in an electric boat competition in July in Maryland: www.navalengineers.org/Education/Promoting-Electric-Propulsion-PEPCurrently in the process of developing a pretty novel electric outboard motor (internal cooling, belt drive, custom batteries) and am trying to figure out the most efficient/fastest hull for it. It'll be about 30hp. The most efficient hull I can put it on is a small 3 point hydro, but would like something in the 10-14ft range that can seat two people. I am a proponent of pairing my new tech with older style hulls when applicable (set up an electric system on a 1960s Hedlund Hydroplane before). Ran a Glasspar G3 with an Evinrude Lark 40 and that only did about 20mph so I imagine a G3 isn't the ideal hull unfortunately. Any thoughts/ideas?? -Ben

Glen-L makes a boat called the Tunnel Mite, and its 10ft- 30hp would go good I imagine, but where you gonna stuff the batteries and other stuff will be the problem...... oh, AND ya have to build the hull!!! Its a KIT! Attachment Deleted_ OR, how about a SUPERLITE?
