Found a '61 Merc 1000 for my Glasspar Del Mar project a couple years ago but the seller didn't want to separate it from the boat. It was, at the time, only 13 deg. F. He made a deal I couldn't refuse, $50 for boat & trailer, so the whole package followed me home. Surprisingly enough momma didn't even give me a hard time. Weigh station confirmed my suspicions, boat and trailer topped out at 1,280#. Slightly waterlogged. All in all it wasn't in too bad a condition besides the floor and foam. Did have to replace the Tilt & Trim. Hoping to get the rest of the flotation foam and floor in this week. Antique Outboard meet the 16th.
