I was wondering if anybody has taken the top off the bottom Hull to repair transom Split the boat

Yes and it was easy on my 1963 G3. Remove the rubber in the rub rail and drill out the rivets. Take out the motor well and it should come apart easily. I would install a spreader to keep the two sides from flexing too much on the upper deck before lifting the upper deck from the hull. Have fun!

It is a lot easier to work on this way. Some boats have fiberglass over the hull to deck connection. I used my Fein "vibrating cutter" to get separation and also to remove the floor. Kingston
